The Return of The Spree Festival
We’re excited to be back working with the Paisley Spree festival this week. The festival will be held at the iconic Spiegeltent from Thursday 7 – Saturday 16 October. Organised by Renfrewshire council The Spree has helped establish Paisley as one of Scotland’s key cultural destinations for major events. This year’s festival is programmed by Regular Music who we work with on a regular basis (please excuse the pun but its true!)
We are supplying backline to many of the performers during the festival. First of all we’ll be supplying backline this evening for the opening night featuring Michael Rother, founding member of influential German electronic bands Neu! and Harmonia. He’ll be performing songs by both acts and solo works. Tomorrow, Friday the 8th, our old friends The Bluebells will be taking to the stage to perform some of their greatest hits such as the classic “Young at Heart.” We’ll be supplying various equipment for their show. As well as the Bluebells and Michael Rother we will be supplying backline for Nick Lowe on Sunday and Scottish singer songwriter and 2015 Scottish album of the Year award winner Kathryn Joseph on Monday 11th.
Also this week for all you Status Quo fans the Status Quo convention McVention will be taking place at Slay. The event will run both Friday and Saturday and celebrate the music of the classic rock band. We also have hires going out for Australian electronic artist Sonny Fodera at SWG3 as well Japanese all female metal band Bridear at Nice ’n’ Sleazys. Both these gigs will take place on Saturday. Also on Saturday we have various equipment heading to St Andrews for the prestigious Kate Kennedy Club Charity Opening Ball. The event is one of the oldest most established events at the uni where nearly 2000 guests will be greeted by Highland Pipers and a Champagne Reception, followed by a night of great entertainment.
